This homegroup was different then the others we have had so far this semester. We stayed on campus this time and I thought it went really well. Started off homegroup by celebrating Debi’s birthday and then Julia lead worship. She did an awesome job, I had never hear really play by herself, it was great! Then Dave lead the discussion about the Parable of the Talents in Matthew. We had a smaller group tonight, or maybe it just felt smaller. Afterwards, there was announcements and it seems that we have a lot going on these next couple of weeks with the retreat and all. I wont be able to make it to the retreat, I promised Dad that I would be there for his birthday a couple of months ago. I headed out after announcements but the rest of the group played sardines.
Lately, it feels like my life is getting in order more. It was rocky start to the semester with everything going on but now after a month or so into , it’s going pretty well. I started back on daily bible reading plan and I will have it done by new years which I am extremely excited about. With a few weeks into my training plan for the half-marathon my body has been gaining more endurance and it is getting easier to do my runs. Had my first outside run on Tuesday, it was amazing. I ran to the square, did a couple of laps and then came back. It was beautiful day. Training for a half-marathon is tons of work, takes time and is so challenging. I love running and even though it is hard, the more I do it, the more enjoyable it is. I’m not sure what it is about it. I am up to running about 12 miles total for a week so far.
Praise God! There have been no guys entering in my life and this journey of single hood has been great for me. Thank you Jesus for protecting my heart. I have learning about how to make God my first true love and what that looks like. I am excited about this time with the Lord and about what will come out of it. It has been a slow process, difficult at times, but good and I have so much more growth to do in this area. It is just the start. Everything happens in God’s timing.
He is good and He is strong. :)
